When you sell something on MxTp, you get most of the money. The fees we charge for selling on our platform will NEVER exceed what our competitors offer.

To start, we are targeting fees of 10% for both digital and physical sales. We will reduce that even further through programs that will be implemented as the platform is developed. The goal is to ensure that MxTp only takes what it needs to function, and you get all the rest.

You created the music, so we think it's only fair that you also decide how much to charge for it. Want to sell one copy for $10,000? We got you. Want to give it away for completely free? No problem at all. You have total control over how your music is sold here.

At MxTp, our mission is to make as much money for artists as possible. This means being experimental with the means by which we offer you chances to monetize your work using our platform.

We'll start with things like artist & playlist subscriptions, offered in weekly or monthly flavors, as well as the ability to sell mixtapes (more on this to come).

However that's just the start. As the platform grows, we will expand the opportunities to monetize your brand, maximizing your potential income, just from your music.

Oh, and did we mention there's no advertisers here? We won't ask you to compromise your morals or integrity by forcing you to align with corporations with little to no values. So that will NEVER be a monetization strategy on MxTp.

As mentioned above, we will never have ads here. Ad-supported monetization is NOT something we will ever be interested in. Too often are artists pushed into situations where they are forced to put their face with a company or product they don't agree with in order to make some money from their music. We don't vibe with that.

This also means that we will never sell MxTp, ever. Nor will there be any investors, VC-backing, or anything like that. This is a platform near and dear to my heart. I am extremely passionate about music, and the people that make it, and it is of the highest importance to me that I preserve my independence in that regard, and never feel pressured by any third parties to do something I don't want to do.

As the artist, you control how your music is sold on MxTp. You can give it away for free. You can sell it for as little or as much as you want. You can create playlists for listeners to subscribe to, or you can offer access to your catalogue (or just a portion of it) for a weekly or monthly subscription. Whatever you want to sell, and however much you want to sell it for: as long as it's yours, it's up to you.

I want to help you make as much money as possible from selling your music. A critical part of any independent artist hoping to make it is marketing. MxTp will include built-in marketing materials for any track or release you create, as well as for your brand in general. Create images and other content for social media, or wherever you do your marketing. We give you the tools you need to get seen online.

We both know music isn't the only thing you sell. In addition to control over the music, artists will also have control over everything else they are selling on MxTp. You can bundle physical merch with digital purchases, or vice versa, and see and manage all your physical merch orders in one place.

Your artist page on MxTp is your digital storefront. Much like other aspects of the platform, you can do what you want with it. Make it look how you want. Feature the releases you want. Customize the theme, layout, etc. You can even embed it into your own website, so fans don't have to wonder where they can get your stuff.
